Taking ‘sick’ days around holidays…

Advice I should have given a few weeks ago: Section 11.5 of the Employment Act 2000 states “An employer shall not be obliged to pay an employee in respect of a public
holiday if the employee does not work on his working day immediately preceding and his
working day immediately following the public holiday, unless he was on annual leave or
sick leave on such a day.” Hope no one got burned.
